Day 1: Arrival / Negombo

Arrive in Negombo and check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the Negombo Fish Market, one of the largest and most vibrant fish markets in Sri Lanka. Check into the Hotel

Travel Highlights Relax on the famous Chilaw beach or have a beautiful beach stroll (avoid swimming in the sea because the surf may be fairly choppy and dangerous). Take a short guided city tour and stop by the famed Chilaw fish market to get some fresh seafood.

Day 2: Negombo to Kandy

Visit Kandy, the former royal capital of Sri Lanka. See the Temple of the Tooth, a sacred Buddhist shrine. Visit the Dambulla Cave Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a walk in the Royal Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a traditional dance show. Check into the Hotel.

Day 3 - 4: Sigiriya

Visit Sigiriya Rock, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hike to the top of the rock and enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Go on a jeep safari in Minneriya National Park and see the elephants up close. Visit a local village and learn about Sri Lankan culture. Check into the Hotel.

Day 5-6: Nilaveli Beach

Dive in the clear waters and explore the underwater world. Visit the Koneswaram Temple, a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Shiva. Check into the Hotel.

Day 7-8: Pasikuda Beach

Relax on the beach in Pasikuda Beach, or go on a boat trip to see the dolphins. Enjoy the unspoiled beauty of this beach and soak up the sun. Check into the Hotel.

Day 9-10: Arugam Bay

Day 11: Yala

Go on a safari in Yala National Park, one of the best places in Sri Lanka to see wildlife. Spot elephants, leopards, and other animals in their natural habitat Check into the Hotel.
